Tracy Chamoun graduated from The University of London with a degree in Sociology and Communication.

She speaks three languages fluently: English, French and Arabic.

She is the granddaughter of the former president of Lebanon, Camille Chamoun and the daughter of Dany Chamoun, a Lebanese leader/politician assassinated in 1990 with his wife and 2 children.

In 2012 Tracy founded Lebanon’s Liberal Democrats Party (LDP) which she presided from from 2012 to 2016. As such Tracy is the first woman founder in history of an Arab political party. In 2013 and 2014 Tracy presented herself as a candidate for The Lebanese Parliament in the district of Baabda, the seat of the Lebanese government.

Elections were cancelled due to the security situation in Lebanon. In her private career Tracy has worked as a communication consultant for prestigious companies in the City of London. She was also the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for The Discovery Channel Europe and then worked for the Chairman of Discovery in International Development launching the channel in many countries around the world.

She is the author of four books: A Nom du Pere 1991 - Editions Lattes Amare 1993 - Editions Lattes Le Sang de la Paix 2013 - Editions Lattes Thaman el Silm (Arabic) 2013 - Editions Hachette / Antoine Lebanon A Nom du Pere was a bestseller and was awarded the “Prix Verite” for the best work of non-fiction.


In 2017, she was appointed by the President of The Republic of Lebanon, General Michel Aoun, as an Ambassador to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan where traditionally her family benefits from excellent historical ties and connections.
